All trash must be bagged or barrels will not be serviced.

Thanksgiving Schedule:

Routes will not run Thursday, November 27, 2025 Thanksgiving Day. Thursdays routes will be completed Friday. 

Administration office will be closed half day Wednesday, November 26 through Friday November 28

Transfer Stations and Collection Centers will be closed Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. Half Day Friday November 28, and Closed all Day Saturday, November 29. We will be open normal hours Tuesday, December 2 at 8:00AM

All dump trailers must be taken to Alcalde Transfer Station. El Prado and Cordova are only permitted to take small amounts of solid waste. We cannot exceed the amount of a pickup truck at these locations.

At this time we are not accepting Green Waste, We encourage all customers with green waste to apply for a burn permit with the Rio Arriba County Fire Department.

Please be advised that Landfill closures and weather (such as heavy rains, high winds, snow, power outages, etc.) may cause closures at our Transfer Stations and Collection Centers.
