Please be advised that the Alcalde Transfer Station will be closed today January 22, 2026 for work on the bay doors. We will open tomorrow at 10:00 am after the tire retrieval is completed. 

 NCSWA will be closed in Observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Administration, Collection Centers and Transfer Stations will be closed. Routes will be a day behind. 

Polycart Service: All trash must be bagged or barrels will not be serviced.

All dump trailers must be taken to Alcalde Transfer Station. El Prado and Cordova are only permitted to take small amounts of solid waste. We cannot exceed the amount of a pickup truck at these locations.

At this time we are not accepting Green Waste, We encourage all customers with green waste to apply for a burn permit with the Rio Arriba County Fire Department.

Please be advised that Landfill closures and weather (such as heavy rains, high winds, snow, power outages, etc.) may cause closures at our Transfer Stations and Collection Centers.
